<img class = "alignleft size-full wp-left image-1966" title = "content" src = "http://www.thejobbored.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/salary.jpg"alt =" implications "width =" 240 "height =" 160 "/> When to discuss salary in a job interview?
It

an old and well-known job search strategy is to enable the employer’s salary names first … if it is possible for you to get this done. The idea is that if the dollar figure would suggest, first, then you might accidentally end up getting paid less than the employer was willing. Of course, if the employer asks about your salary expectations in the job ad itself, you should be ready to name a character in the interview … But try to shed as much as possible, politely.

Because in a sense, your past salary irrelevant information. A company has a need for someone to fill a position. And the company knows that it can afford to pay someone X amount of dollars to fill this position. You are either willing to work for these X-dollar figure, or you’re not. So the only figure that matters is what the employer is willing to pay. What you have been paid in the past is neither here nor there.

in most cases.

There are some cases where it would definitely be to your benefit to come up with your salary, even if the employer does not ask for them .
First, if the new employer is poaching off an existing job, you should call a dollar figure that it would be worthwhile for you to jump ship. If you contact your current employer is not terribly unhappy, you should expect to poachers that it take a little longer for you to move.

Secondly, in some highly competitive industries and labor markets, rename the existing content could be a decent indicator of your worth. Are you in an industry where a hiring manager might be thinking, “Gee, if our competitors are paying this guy six figures to do the job, then he must be good?” If that could be your reward in identifying you as a rock star helpful to think, then could freely and openly with your current salary, in fact, good publicity for the test you.

Tips to Extend Your Executive Resume

<p By the time you reach the executive level, you certainly have a ton of skills and services collapsed. However, it is not uncommon for your massive list does not translate well on the resume so that it is too short. As a manager, you ensure that your application fully represents what you have done it, want to achieve over the years. So if you is not long enough, here are some tips to help you stretch.

Tell your story

One possibility is that you stretch out your mini resume is to tell a story. While many resumes usually so dry of documents (cover letter, and are meant for storytelling) are considered, there are ways to sneak in a story on you. This is especially true for managers CVs for the same rules apply as for the non-professional levels. There are a number of ways to tell your story, including the definition of who you are and what you want in your profile executive to achieve the previous objective / summary of qualifications. In addition, you can say, 2-3 record stories of how you define each of your services, with whom, what, when, where, why and how information.

every detail preserved

A habit that most workers in the beginning of their career, to be hard to seems thoroughly out of keeping track of services at every step along the way. Most of the time we are too busy to even notice what we have done. Then before we know it, is the moment long gone, and we can not see much of anything about it.

The only problem with this “non-strategy” of the record-keeping, that if it is included at the time these events in a resume is all the details are as good as lost. So we end up even basic descriptions rather than the description of each event as it really occurred. In your case, the memory of all that occurred per performance help immensely when trying to stretch the CV. As mentioned in the previous section, it is good to take time to think who, what, when, where, why and how it was necessary to accomplish this feat. To avoid

try a half pages

nagging half a page can be a major annoyance, while working on your resume. It seems that only when you put the last few bits of information in the document, an entire section moves to a new page, so you have to deal with part of a page. This means you must subtract either information or add new details.

In a short CV, which is not easy to do. However, there are a few resources you use, including tweaking the edges of the document, as well as adjusting the font size in half numbers (this can actually make a big difference) can. You can also change the font, as long as it is more professional. Just think about how these settings had to use the same font consistency in the original version to maintain.

counts Every little thing if you is when you create your resume, and the length is no exception. Just as you need to do all of the optimizations you think, do not forget the length of your list as well.
This is a guest post. About the Author:

7 keys and constructive criticism

<p Regardless of how it should be constructive criticism of another person, most people when they criticize in any way on the defensive, the second they feel as if they put something wrong. Combine these natural defenses with constructive criticism in the context of their own work given, and the potential to feel left behind for the “critical” person to be hit dramatically increased. To minimize this potential and maximize the effectiveness of any communication difficult, it is useful to consider what is said is not as critical thinking, but full and complete communication! Full and complete communication is no room for reading between all the proverbial lines, and it offers the space to discuss what in our minds in a respectful and constructive manner. Constructive criticism, as it is received, and their overall effectiveness may depend on this one single factor.
 Keys and constructive criticism:

Before the question for which you want to “constructive” criticism to give, ask for permission, just talk about what you see. Ask a good time to talk privately, and if you say privately, for example, “I’ve noticed that you had a difficult time with this transaction, and I want to give you a precise technique. Is it okay with you if I would like your process? “show to ask for permission by the improvement, disassemble the automatic defense reaction that we all open to criticism and the door to full and complete communication.

Once you have established the authority to speak to the heart of the matter, to address what you see from your own experiences. For example: “I remember when I was working on a similar project several years ago and the same happened to me This is how I handle it. …” By creating this type of relationship, you will come across in the way that your criticism is intended, and that is constructively critical of!

as constructive criticism, complete and comprehensive communication requires that you speak so that others actually understand what it is that you can communicate with each other. Speak in other words, in the hearing of another. We were all victims of misunderstandings know enough that each individual filter and hear what was said in different ways. Therefore, as the person’s criticism or communicating in any way, it is your responsibility to ensure that you communicate so that the intended recipient actually understands what it is that is communicated.

Once you find the information that you may share would have spoken had to be open for a further discussion of what you communicate. Encourage questions and go as far to ask the recipient to tell you in their own words what she got, what you said. You have the opportunity to make sure that what you said was not misinterpreted in any way.

Do not let people feel wrong. Emphasize that failure or the need to optimize how we are approaching some part to learn how we are, and what is important for them to learn from constructive criticism, to avoid the same mistakes in future.

Enter the person you speak with another opportunity to see what they got in terms of communication from your input. Your goal is always to fully communicate, which has no room for misinterpretation, read between the lines, or leave people in a place where they do not understand the intent of the original message.

eventually always acknowledge and thank the person you speak with that you contribute to them. To learn

criticism is ultimately nothing more than an opportunity to grow within our jobs, relationships and the world as a whole to see what is not always easy. So, whether critical or constructive criticism as one can see is ultimately up to the person on the receiving end. But as someone who, what have the critics, the ability to set the stage and make sure that what you will have to say given and taken in the best light possible.
This is a guest post. <p It is that time of year again, if you can believe it.

I’ve just started on my taxes this weekend, so I thought I’d post a little research for a nice employees / jobseekers tax policy.
do

It occurred to me that we all yearn for refunds will not we?
Did you know that 3/4ths of Americans will receive tax refunds each year? And the average refund is around $ 3000? That’s not small change!
If you think you might have something useful with a few extra large in the pocket, then you are likely to ask what could be the fastest way to make that happen.
are

Well, once the IRS has indicated that the fastest way to get your tax refund money to choose direct deposit when you file is. The IRS has now been on this kick for direct deposit for many years. It saves them money. It saves trees.

But it also saves time and receive your refund in your hot little hands a lot quicker. My accountant told me that if I filed my return today (January 30) and asked for a check by mail, I’d be lucky to see, to check that end of February. But.

According to the IRS, if you enter your direct deposit information, if you file your 2011 taxes, you can see the money in your bank account in less than 10 days

In addition, the IRS is quite flexible: </, p> blockquote

you deposit your refund into multiple accounts. With the split refund option, taxpayers their refunds among as many as three checking or savings accounts, and up to three different U.S. financial institutions to share. Use IRS Form 8888, Refund of award (including savings bond purchases), to share your refund.

So when you are ready to file your return, make sure to sign up for direct deposit.
Bonus Tip: Why turn around and spend your tax return? Why not invest in yourself? Put the money in your IRA! There is bonus money, is not it? Let it work for you.

Such a two-page resume can sit on a sheet of paper, front and rear.
This weekend I had a client ask if we used some kind of pleasure-printer to do it. She wanted to know and do, even if it goes ahead it could. I said no. In fact, we use a very basic HP laser printer to do our printing, and I find that many modern printers can do what we do. So if your printer is, we say, less than 5 years old, you can print your resume on both sides of the paper also.
Here’s how it works:

How do you check your resume on both sides of the paper

It is the original concept for … You guessed it … Pressure on both sides of the paper. When this function, then the process is fairly straightforward and automated.

First, you go to print. I’m assuming you are using Microsoft Word.
choose print, but not the “Quick Print”.
 </p to

After all, you’re going to beat on the Printing Shortcuts tab, and choose eco-print (double-sided printing)

<img class =" align none-medium size wp-image-1927 "title =" pirnt-both-sides-of-paper-3 "alt =" Print on both sides Step 3 "width =" 300 "height =" 280 "/>

And the it is. Well, if OK to hit print, it will automatically print first on one side of the paper … then suck it back in and print on the other side.
By the way, can you click on the images above to enlarge.

But what if your printer can not duplex printing?
This is not a problem. Why? Because when you think about it, you can manually force, any printer to print on both sides of the paper.
Simply print out a page.
Then take this page and manually feed it back into the printer, to be sure, however, to turn it over. Now print second It should come out the other side of the page you just printed.
You may need to experiment a few times to get this right, because some feed on the printer head,

head to toe, etc.

But if you experiment a little with manual feeding of paper, absolutely every printer can print on both sides of the paper.
simple tip, I know. But could be useful to some.
